Connick began making his mark in the world of television at the turn of the new millennium which included starring roles on Will and Grace, South Pacific and American Idol. Following his very successful stint as a mentor on American Idol, Harry was invited to join Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban at the judges’ table for Season XIII, XIV and XV. He graced audiences with his musical talents in several primetime specials including “When My Heart Finds Christmas” on CBS and “Harry for the Holidays” on NBC and his Emmy-winning, PBS specials “Only You in Concert” and “Live in Concert on Broadway.” In addition, “The Happy Elf,” based on a Harry original Christmas song was animated for an NBC television special. In 2016, he launched Harry, a national daytime television show, which earned 11 Daytime Emmy nominations, including nominations for best host, and a Critics’ Choice nomination for best talk show.  In December of 2021, he stepped into the shoes of Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks in Annie Live! which aired on NBC. At the start of 2023, Connick was asked by Australia’s Seven Network to be a judge on the revival of Australian Idol to help discover the next idol in Australia.
