Harry Connick, Jr. and Orchestra Announces Boston Engagement

Playbill.com By Adam Hetrick December 17, 2010 Grammy Award winner and Tony-nominated entertainer Harry Connick, Jr. will play a five-performance engagement at Boston's Colonial Theatre in April 2011. After an extended Broadway concert engagement at the Neil Simon Theatre this past summer, Connick, Jr. continues to tour across the U.S. Harry Connick, Jr. and Orchestra will run April 26-30, 2011. The evening will highlight songs from his latest album "Your Songs," which features such pop classics as "The Way You Look Tonight," "Some Enchanted Evening," "Close to You," "Who Can I Turn To?" and "Smile." As previously reported, PBS' "Great Performances" will air Harry Connick, Jr. In Concert on Broadway as part of its winter-spring programming. Connick made his Broadway debut with the concert An Evening with Harry Connick Jr. and His Orchestra, which played the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in 1990. He earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Score to the short-lived Broadway musical Thou Shalt Not and received a Best Actor in a Musical Tony nomination for The Pajama Game. His screen roles include "Will & Grace," "Memphis Belle," "Little Man Tate," "Independence Day," "Hope Floats," "P.S., I Love You," "Mickey," "Bug" and "Living Proof."
