Multi-Talented Harry Connick Jr. Celebrates Cole Porter At Met Opera

The multi-talented Harry Connick Jr. will celebrate the music of Cole Porter at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York this week.

Connick’s seven performances—from January 29 through February 2—will feature all of Porter’s classics performed by a 25-piece orchestra, as well as singing, tap dancing and storytelling, plus sets designed by Tony Award winner Beowulf Boritt.

The performances will revive Connick’s 2019 Broadway production, Harry Connick, Jr: A Celebration of Cole Porter.

He directed the original show, based on his original concept, and arranged and orchestrated its music.

“This show has been a project that’s incredibly close to my heart, so to bring it to the Met’s stage is an unbelievable privilege. Singing the songs of Cole Porter, a quintessential New Yorker, at this preeminent New York institution will be a career highlight for me,” said Connick
